According to revelations in Le Monde, a security audit carried out in 2018 already pointed out the easy access to the Louvre balcony, through which the burglars entered on October 19. In all, two pages and three diagrams describe this balcony and the window overlooking the Quai François-Mitterrand, deemed to be "one of the establishment's greatest points of vulnerability".
