Bygmalion affair: Nicolas Sarkozy to be sentenced for a second time soon

On Wednesday, the French Supreme Court (Cour de Cassation) will rule on Nicolas Sarkozy's appeal in the Bygmalion case. Dismissal of the appeal, as recommended by the Advocate General on October 8, would confirm a second definitive criminal conviction for the former president, who was already convicted in the wiretapping case before his Libyan appeal trial in the spring.
