Is poverty a French fatality? With L. Abdelké Yakoub, H. Steinberg and S.-P. Sengayrac

As associations providing assistance to the underprivileged launch their winter campaigns, they all make the same observation: the number of beneficiaries is steadily increasing in the world's sixth-largest economy. For example, Restos du Cœur distributed eight million meals in 1985, compared with 160 million last year. Is poverty a French inevitability?
